Purpose and Scope
The Senior Accountant oversees Accounts Receivable operations, supports membership accounting, maintains accurate financial records, manages reconciliations, supervises team members, and assists the Financial Controller with financial controls and reporting.
Main Duties
- Guide Accounts Receivable and Membership team members and monitor customer ageing and outstanding balances.
- Reconcile SAP and customer ledger accounts and coordinate with SAP consultants on system developments.
- Train team members, resolve accounting queries and disputes, and ensure transactions and customer master data are accurate in SAP.
- Liaise with customers, internal departments, and auditors, and maintain checklists, staffing, and resource allocation.
Debtors
- Review sales ledger charges, allocations, and Sales Ledger Control Account reconciliations with SAP General Ledger accounts.
- Review new member invoices and refund vouchers for resigned members.
- Coordinate debt collection and recovery activities, review related commission claims, and monitor aged receivables and overdue accounts.
Sales Commission
- Review and validate commission claims.
