Role Description
The Senior Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Doha, Qatar.
The role manages accounting operations, financial reporting, audit support, tax compliance, and advisory analysis.
Responsibilities
- Manage general ledger maintenance, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing.
- Prepare financial statements and reports.
- Support audit engagements and ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Assist with tax returns and related documentation.
- Review junior team members’ work and identify process improvements.
- Contribute financial analysis and insights to business advisory engagements.
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in financial accounting, general ledger management, and financial statement preparation.
- Experience with audit procedures, internal controls, and accounting and auditing standards.
- Knowledge of tax regulations, tax return preparation, and basic tax planning.
- Ability to perform financial analysis, reconciliations, and variance reviews.
- Proficiency with accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, plus professional certification.
- Seven years of relevant accounting and audit experience.
- Automotive industry experience is required.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work on-site in Doha, manage deadlines, and maintain professional standards.
