Responsibilities
- Assist in the educational and social development of students under the direction of the Principal/Vice Principal/Class Teacher
- Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
- Assist class teachers with maintaining up to date student records
- Support students with additional and specific needs such as feeding themselves, using the bathroom (KG)
- Work with other professionals where necessary
- Lead small groups in specific activities as planned by the teacher
- Prepare and present displays of student work
- Support class teachers with the preparation of resources i.e. photocopying
- Undertake other administrative duties on occasion as directed by the Principal
- Set a good example in terms of dress, punctuality, attendance and conduct
- Be proactive in matters relating to Health and Safety
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
Requirements
- Bachelor's in Education or a bachelor's degree in a related subject
- Minimum 2 year experience in the related field
- Passionate and caring educators
- Commitment to an extensive enrichment program
- Recent and consistent involvement in extra curricular activities
- Experience with students for whom English is an additional language
- Clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services or Police check
- Arabic and English bilingual speaker (preferred)
