Semi-Skilled Operator

Perform routine first-line maintenance tasks, including but not limited to bath grab greasing, anode clamp testing and greasing, and assembly of measurement rods.

All required consumables shall be provided by the Company in accordance with the Scope of Work

Demonstrate practical knowledge and hands-on experience in the safe and effective use of hand tools and power tools, including hacksaws, rivet guns, greasing guns, drilling machines, grinding machines, chisels, and impact wrenches.

Identify and assess anode clamp defects, segregate clamps based on type and severity of damage, and conduct functional testing prior to placement in potline storage areas.

Possess working knowledge of short-circuiting wedges and their function, including the ability to inspect, sort, and prepare used wedges for reuse or further repair.

Carry out minor repairs to pot hoods and assess their condition for reuse or repair.

Prepare hoods for external repair activities and ensure readiness for daily operational use.

Perform minor repair and maintenance tasks on various potline-related equipment and infrastructure, including pot doors, FRP handrails, barricading skippers, fire extinguisher holders, emergency anode clamps, pot stoppage kits, bus bar jumpers, and crossover tools.

Support the handling, segregation, and disposal of daily waste and scrap materials in compliance with waste management procedures and environmental standards.

Collect and deliver raw materials, tools, and spare parts from warehouses and workshops to designated locations.

Ensure proper distribution of serviceable tools and removal of defective tools across potlines.

Segregate damaged tools for reuse, repair, or disposal as scrap.

Perform raw material stacking, re-bagging, and assist in repainting of equipment as required to maintain operational readiness and asset integrity.

Maintain high levels of safety awareness, particularly in relation to manual handling, tool usage, and working in proximity to active potlines.

Ensure effective communication and coordination with supervisors and other team members to support smooth execution of daily activities
