Role overview
A high-growth crypto platform is seeking a Security Engineer to own security across the organisation.
This is a hands-on engineering role rather than a policy or compliance position.
Responsibilities
- Manage application, cloud, and infrastructure security.
- Secure CI/CD, IAM, secrets, and key management.
- Lead incident response and threat monitoring.
- Review backend and API security.
- Secure wallets, custody, and multi-signature treasury structures.
- Assess on-chain transactions and DeFi security.
- Address employee security, phishing, and social engineering.
- Manage data protection and security controls.
Requirements
- Proven experience working directly in crypto, blockchain, or DeFi.
- Strong application and infrastructure security engineering experience.
- Experience with cloud, Kubernetes, containers, and CI/CD.
- Ability to review production backend code.
- Strong understanding of wallets, transactions, and on-chain activity.
- Comfort taking ownership and making decisions under pressure.
