Michael Foods operates in food processing and distribution, including egg products, refrigerated grocery products, and potato products.
The Lansing, Illinois plant pasteurizes raw eggs to remove harmful bacteria for foodservice products.
Position Summary
The second-shift Packer/General Labor position rotates through general production and labor duties.
The role inspects products and packaging and helps ensure correct packaging, counts, and labels.
Production Duties
- Inspect egg quality and remove broken eggs.
- Place proper labels on boxes and understand dates, expiration information, and item numbers.
- Ensure bags and pails are properly sealed and clean.
- Stack CHEX product flats onto the proper pallet.
- Supply material to the Top Lidder machine and load material into the case erector.
- Keep the production area clean.
Education and Experience
- Less than a high school education is required.
- Prior manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Pallet jack experience is preferred, and the employee must be able to obtain and maintain a company pallet jack license.
