About the Role
Adaptyv is seeking a Scientific Account Executive to drive sales and customer success for its automated biology lab platform. Responsibilities
- Own the full customer lifecycle: prospecting, technical sales, deal closing, onboarding, and account management
- Serve as technical point of contact, understanding protein engineering goals and recommending appropriate experiments
- Explain assay capabilities (BLI, SPR, cell free expression) and interpret data for customers
- Work with biology team to ensure correct experiment design and clear communication of results
- Build and maintain pipeline of commercial opportunities across customer segments
- Develop proposals and quotes tailored to customer needs
- Represent Adaptyv at conferences and industry events
- Feed customer insights back to product and biology teams
Requirements
- Scientific background in protein engineering, biochemistry, biophysics, or related field
- Experience in a customer facing technical role (field application scientist, technical sales, scientific account management)
- Commercially driven with focus on revenue and closing deals
- Strong communicator able to adapt to different audiences
- Self starter who can manage own pipeline and priorities
- Genuine interest in AI driven protein design

Role Overview
- This is a hybrid sales and customer success role for someone with real scientific depth.
- You'll be the primary point of contact for customers from first conversation through ongoing engagement.
Day to day
- Running technical sales calls discussing binding kinetics, expression systems, and assay design
- Onboarding new customers and helping them design their first experiments
- Monitoring ongoing accounts, flagging issues, and suggesting next steps
- Working with biology team to troubleshoot experiments
- Identifying expansion opportunities within existing accounts
