Responsibilities
- Manage the day to day operation of the school medical room, ensuring it is safe, well stocked and fit for purpose at all times.
- Provide prompt, professional first aid and nursing care to students and staff who are injured or unwell during the school day.
- Assess, monitor and respond to student health needs, referring to external providers or emergency services as appropriate.
- Administer prescribed medication in accordance with individual healthcare plans, school policy and Qatar regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate, confidential medical records and individual healthcare plans for all students, including allergy and chronic condition management.
- Act as a key member of the school's safeguarding team, supporting the identification and reporting of welfare concerns.
- Develop and deliver health education and wellbeing initiatives for students across all phases.
- Communicate proactively and professionally with parents, staff and external medical providers regarding student health matters.
Requirements
- Nursing qualification (e.g., B.Sc Nursing)
- Experience in school health or pediatric nursing preferred
- Valid nursing registration in Qatar
