SAP Solution Architect – Greenfield SAP S/4HANA Implementation

Role Overview

Mandatory Requirements

• At least 10 years of overall SAP experience is required; the posting also states 11 years overall experience.
• Strong hands-on SAP S/4HANA solution architecture experience is required.
• At least two end-to-end SAP implementations and one greenfield SAP S/4HANA implementation are required.
• SAP Activate, SAP Best Practices, Fit-to-Standard, and Clean Core knowledge is required.
• Experience with SAP BTP, Integration Suite, Fiori, APIs, IDocs, OData, data migration, and master data architecture is required.
• Understanding of SAP security, authorization, reporting, analytics, compliance, and non-functional requirements is required.

Architecture Responsibilities

• Own and lead end-to-end SAP S/4HANA solution architecture for the greenfield implementation.
• Define and govern solution, application, integration, data, and technology architecture.
• Lead blueprinting, architecture workshops, Fit-to-Standard assessments, and design decisions.
• Drive SAP Activate, SAP Best Practices, Clean Core, and Fit-to-Standard principles.
• Provide cross-functional guidance across FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, QM, WM/EWM, PM/EAM, supply chain, PS, and HCM/SuccessFactors.

Integration and Data

• Define integration architecture with MES, LIMS, WMS, QMS, CRM, PLM, banking, tax, and data platforms.
• Provide direction for SAP BTP, Integration Suite, APIs, IDocs, OData, and event-driven integrations.
• Lead data migration, master data, and data governance architecture.

Governance and Delivery

• Govern Fiori, ABAP developments, workflows, reports, interfaces, extensions, and custom developments under Clean Core principles.
• Establish architecture governance, design authority, and architecture review board processes.
• Ensure alignment with security, authorization, segregation of duties, compliance, audit, and non-functional requirements.
• Support system integration testing, user acceptance testing, cutover, go-live, hypercare, and stabilization.

Preferred Domain Expertise

• Pharmaceutical, life sciences, biologics, medical devices, or regulated manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
• Exposure to GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, EU Annex 11, data integrity, computer system validation, and audit requirements is advantageous.
• Experience with RISE with SAP, SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition, global templates, and multi-country transformations is beneficial.
