The Role We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO Lead Consultant to lead SAP Finance transformation initiatives within a major UK retail environment. You will drive SAP FICO solution design, implementation, support, and optimization while partnering with business stakeholders and leading project teams. Your Responsibilities Lead SAP FICO implementations, rollouts, upgrades, and support projects. Gather business requirements and translate them into SAP Finance solutions. Configure and optimize SAP FI and CO modules. Act as the functional lead for SAP Finance initiatives. Support SAP S/4HANA Finance transformation and migration programs. Collaborate with business, technical, and project teams to deliver successful outcomes. Mentor junior consultants and promote best practices. Essential Skills / Experience Extensive SAP FICO implementation, rollout, upgrade, and support experience. Strong expertise in SAP FI (GL, AP, AR, AA, Bank Accounting, Tax) and SAP CO (Cost Centers, Profit Centers, COPA, Product Costing). Hands-on SAP S/4HANA Finance implementation and transformation experience. Knowledge of ACDOCA, New GL, Parallel Accounting, and Financial Closing. Experience integrating FICO with MM, SD, PP, EWM/WM, and Treasury. Expertise in requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, migration, and go-live support. Strong understanding of IFRS, US GAAP, SOX, controls, and compliance. Experience working with ABAP teams on enhancements and integrations. Knowledge of SAP Fiori, SAP Activate, UAT, SIT, and production support. Proven leadership in complex enterprise SAP programs. Essential Skills / Experience SAP Central Finance (CFIN), Group Reporting, SAC, and Financial Planning solutions. SAP Treasury, FSCM, Cash Management, and BTP experience. Exposure to RISE with SAP and cloud-based SAP landscapes. Experience in Brownfield, Greenfield, and S/4HANA migration projects. Knowledge of SAP Migration Cockpit, LSMW, and data migration tools. Experience with Ariba, Concur, SuccessFactors, and SAP ecosystem products. Understanding of SAP GRC, SoD, RPA, and digital finance transformation. Knowledge of APIs, IDocs, EDI, and middleware integrations. Experience delivering global rollouts, M&A, or transformation programs. Agile/SAFe delivery experience and SAP Finance certifications preferred.
