About the Role
SGS seeks a Sample Preparation Technician to perform routine analytical techniques and prepare samples for laboratory testing. The role requires at least one year of experience in a similar position and the ability to work with little supervision.

Responsibilities
- Perform routine analytical techniques related to established sample preparation procedures
- Ensure quality and quantity of samples prepared, resulting in an assay paste representative of the original sample
- Perform day shift maintenance with sample preparation equipment
- Deliver quality samples to all sections of the laboratory
- Ensure PPE is worn at all times and follow correct hygiene procedures
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and report accidents/incidents
- Participate in shift activities as required by supervisors to meet customer processing requirements
- Contribute to maintaining accurate record keeping and control systems
- Ensure all QC samples are taken according to specifications
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school, diploma or equivalent bachelor's degree
- At least one year of experience in a similar position
- Ability to work with little supervision
- Understanding of sample preparation procedures
- Ability to operate all sample preparation equipment
- Forklift License preferred
- Preferred second language as English
