About the Role

Responsibilities
- Advise contractors about necessary safety precautions, suitability standards of protection, and improvement opportunities
- Provide expertise in creating safe systems of work and procedures
- Identify and assess hazards, risks and control measures for specific operations or processes
- Conduct safety audits/inspections of ongoing projects to evaluate safety programs and ensure compliance
- Provide training and education to employees on safety practices and protocols
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine causes and develop preventive measures
- Ensure tools and equipment are inspected and conduct safety inspections with contractor safety team
- Contribute to road safety projects with knowledge of UAE traffic rules and regulations
- Review Health and Safety Management System documents, tendering reviews, prequalification assessments
- Prepare raw data for Management Review Meeting and discuss with client
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in any subject a related field
- Minimum of 6 years in Safety roles related to oil and gas EPC / construction
- NEBOSH IGC
- IOSH Managing Safety
- EMS Lead Auditor ISO 14001
- Registered OHSMS Generalist OSHAD
- Relevant certifications in construction Safety (e.g., ISO 45001 Lead Auditor) Preferred

Job Description
- Advise to Contractors about necessary safety precautions, suitability standards of protection, and further improvement opportunities in existing working methods.
- Providing expertise and advice in the creation of safe systems of work and procedures.
- Identify and assess hazards, risks and control measures for a specific operation or process.
- Conduct safety audits/Inspection of all ongoing project to evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Safety officers are responsible for providing training and education to employees on safety practices and protocols.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine their causes and develop preventive measures.
- Ensure that all tools and equipment are inspected or third party inspection done.
- Contribute and support the development of road safety projects with knowledge about Traffic Safety according to UAE Traffic Role and regulation.
- Review Health and Safety Management System documents; Tendering Reviews, Prequalification Assessment.
- Prepare raw data for Management Review Meeting and discuss with the client.
- Conduct regular HSE inspections of projects/sites and submit action plan report.
Qualifications
- Education: Diploma or degree in any subject a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 years in Safety roles related to oil and gas EPC / construction.

- IOSH Managing Safety
- EMS Lead Auditor ISO14001
- Registered OHSMS Generalist OSHAD
- Relevant certifications in construction Safety (e.g., ISO 45001 Lead Auditor) Preferred
- Proficiency in EMS lead Auditor ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 2007 Lead Auditor
