The St. Regis Downtown Dubai seeks a Sales Manager for Corporate & MICE to proactively solicit sales opportunities, build long-term customer relationships, and achieve personal sales goals.

Responsibilities
- Proactively solicit and handle sales opportunities to achieve personal sales goals
- Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers through sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows
- Manage and develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Participate in sales calls to acquire new business and close on business
- Execute operational aspects of business booked (proposal, contract, correspondence)
- Identify new business to achieve personal and location revenue goals
- Understand overall market and competitors to sell effectively
- Provide excellent customer service consistent with company standards
Requirements
- 2 year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 3 years experience in sales and marketing OR 4 year bachelor's degree in same fields; 1 year experience
- Experience in building relationships with customers and stakeholders
- Knowledge of market trends and competitor analysis
- Excellent customer service skills

Job Summary
- The position is accountable for proactively soliciting and handling sales opportunities. Ensures business is turned over properly for proper service delivery. Assists in leading day to day sales activities with a focus on building long term, value based customer relationships. Achieves personal sale
Candidate Profile
- 2 year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 3 years experience in sales and marketing or related professional area. OR 4 year bachelor's degree in same fields; 1 year experience.
Core Work Activities
- Works collaboratively with off property sales channels to ensure coordinated sales efforts.
- Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings.
- Develops relationships within community to strengthen customer base.
- Manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Provides accurate, complete and effective turnover to Event Management.
- Participates in sales calls with members of sales team to acquire new business and/or close on business.
- Executes and supports operational aspects of business booked (proposal, contract, correspondence).
- Identifies new business to achieve personal and location revenue goals.
- Understands overall market competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand.
- Closes best opportunities based on market conditions and location needs.
- Gains understanding of location’s primary target customer and service expectations.
- Supports company’s service and relationship strategy, driving customer loyalty.
