Archistar is hiring a Sales Development Representative for its growing North American team.
The role introduces municipalities to AI PreCheck technology for planning, permitting, and building approvals.
The SDR will research markets, identify decision-makers, and start relevant conversations with municipalities across Canada and the United States.
What you'll do
- Research municipalities and government organizations to identify new opportunities.
- Identify stakeholders shaping planning, building, permitting, technology, and digital transformation.
- Develop relationships through phone, email, LinkedIn, industry events, and targeted outbound campaigns.
- Start informed conversations about municipal challenges and technology solutions.
- Qualify opportunities and work with Regional Sales Directors to progress them.
- Nurture prospective customers across longer government buying cycles.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing on campaigns, events, and market initiatives.
- Maintain CRM, pipeline, and activity management.
- Learn Archistar technology and explain what differentiates it.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of sales development, business development, or similar commercial experience.
- Experience engaging government or municipal customers and understanding public-sector operations.
- Understanding of government sales cycles, stakeholders, and procurement environments.
- Experience prospecting and generating new business opportunities.
- Confidence communicating with senior and operational government stakeholders.
- Strong research skills and ability to create relevant customer conversations.
- Experience with CRM and sales engagement tools.
- Experience working toward activity, pipeline, or opportunity targets.
Valued experience
- GovTech or public-sector technology experience is preferred.
- Exposure to SaaS, enterprise technology, civic technology, or digital government solutions is preferred.
- Experience in permitting, planning, land management, building approvals, GIS, regulatory technology, or municipal software is particularly valuable.
Work arrangement
- The role is remote.
- The stated location is Canada, Ontario or British Columbia.
