Role Objective
Define, document, and publicize the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental policy so it is understood and practiced throughout the business unit.
Strategic Responsibilities
- Establish, develop, and improve an Integrated Management System to enhance efficiency, quality, and client satisfaction.
- Create awareness of IMS principles and requirements through meetings, seminars, and customized training.
- Identify needs to maintain compliance with local and international HSE regulations.
- Define QHSE goals, objectives, policies, culture, and action plans.
- Regularly update company and branch QHSE policies, procedures, and KPIs.
Operational Responsibilities
- Review project quality and safety documents for compliance with contract requirements and best practices.
- Maintain records, reports, safety statistics, and trend analyses.
- Support estimation and cost control functions in preparing project HSE budgets.
- Coordinate certification and surveillance audits with external certification bodies.
- Ensure IMS implementation through periodic internal audits and provide reports to business unit management.
- Identify staff training needs and propose training plans with supervisors and line managers.
Project and Team Coordination
- Allocate Safety and QA/QC personnel to projects and coordinate them with construction teams.
- Ensure business unit records are identifiable, retrievable, and protected from deterioration or loss.
- Investigate incidents, summarize root causes, and implement actions to prevent recurrence.
- Coordinate effective project and contract closeout with QA/QC and project managers.
- Conduct regular project audits to enforce QHSE management system compliance.
- Audit and evaluate subcontractor QHSE performance and competency during and at project completion.
People Management
- Train personnel to conduct in-house safety training workshops.
- Assist with evaluation, training, and development of Health and Safety personnel.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.
Pay
- Pay is AED 2,000 to AED 5,000 per month.
Work Location
- Work is performed in person.
Requirements
- Knowledge of local and international HSE regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to implement and maintain an Integrated Management System across a business unit.
- Ability to conduct internal, project, and subcontractor QHSE audits and produce audit reports.
- Ability to investigate incidents, identify root causes, and define preventive actions.
- Ability to identify staff training needs and coordinate training plans.
