- Position: SAFETY OFFICER.
- The responsibilities of the Safety Officer are Detailed here under:
1. Site Safety Monitoring
- Conduct daily site safety inspections to ensure compliance with safety procedures.
- Identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions and take corrective action.
- Ensure all workers follow proper safety practices.
2. Implementation of Safety Policies
- Implement the company’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies on site.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and international safety standards such as Occupational Safety and Health Administration
- guidelines where applicable.
- Ensure site activities comply with the project safety plan.
3. Risk Assessment & Hazard Control
- Identify potential hazards and risks related to construction activities.
- Conduct risk assessments and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
- Recommend preventive and control measures.
4. Safety Training & Toolbox Talks
- Conduct safety inductions for new workers and visitors.
- Organize toolbox talks and safety awareness programs.
- Educate workers about proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
5. Accident Investigation
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents on site.
- Prepare incident reports and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure lessons learned are communicated to prevent recurrence.
6. Safety Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain safety records including inspection reports, incident logs, and safety statistics.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports.
- Ensure safety documentation is properly filed and updated.
7. Permit-to-Work System
- Monitor and control work permits for high-risk activities.
- Ensure all required precautions are in place before work begins.
8. Compliance with Safety Standards
- Ensure compliance with project and international safety standards such as ISO 45001.
- Coordinate with the project management team to improve safety performance.
9. Coordination with Project Team
- Work closely with site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure safe work practices.
- Provide safety guidance during planning of high-risk construction activities.
Key Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations.
- Risk assessment and hazard identification skills.
- Incident investigation and reporting.
- Communication and training abilities.
- Knowledge of PPE standards and emergency response procedures.
Job Type: Full-time
- Pay: Up to AED10,000.00 per month
- Ability to commute/relocate:
- Abu Dhabi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
