Role Overview
The employer is seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Officer for an oil and gas fabrication facility.
The role focuses on HSE compliance, safety policies, inspections, hazard control, reporting, and workplace safety for employees and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with UAE laws, client requirements, and company safety standards.
- Conduct inspections and safety audits in workshops and project sites.
- Identify hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare risk assessments, JSAs, and method statements.
- Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses and prepare reports.
- Monitor PPE use and coordinate emergency drills.
- Maintain HSE records, permits, and documentation.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Implement fire prevention and environmental protection measures.
Experience Requirements
- Four years of experience in safety regulations and site safety practices is required.
- Four years of experience in heavy engineering or oil and gas is required.
