Role Overview
The Safety Manager provides leadership and support for construction safety, on-site field administration, and technical safety requirements.
The position supports administration, preconstruction, field teams, bidding operations, and management from project setup through completion.
The role trains WEO personnel on OSHA requirements and helps reduce injuries, property damage, and regulatory exposure.
Technical Responsibilities
- Build subcontractor and safety-management relationships and mentor project personnel on safety goals and resolutions.
- Facilitate construction safety training and enforce WEO safety programs consistently across projects.
- Support pre-planning, start-up, pre-award, preconstruction, and subcontractor pre-installation meetings.
- Develop site-specific safety programs and review JHAs, DTHAs, hazards, controls, and site safety analyses.
- Conduct safety inspections, maintain subcontractor documentation, and improve safety forms and records.
- Investigate incidents, determine root causes and corrective actions, document findings, share prevention information, and analyze trends.
- Consult on equipment safety, OSHA matters, legal safety regulations, contracts, insurance requirements, and subcontract agreements.
