Responsibilities
- Implement corporate HSE Policy, HSE plan, and HSE legislation
- Monitor HSE performance and suggest improvement measures
- Ensure client safety requirements are fulfilled
- Liaise with safety manager and contractors for HSE management ethics
- Monitor contractors to ensure implementation of safety measures
- Review site safety plans, emergency plans, and method statements
- Carry out HSE inspections and report for immediate rectification
- Review and monitor monthly HSE inspections/reports
- Conduct monthly safety meetings and set targets
- Review emergency preparedness, permit to work system, toolbox talks, and HSE statistics
- Review incident/accident investigation reports and communicate learning points
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health or construction related engineering
- Minimum 8+ years of highway, bridge, underpass or major infrastructure safety engineering experience in UAE
- Recognized Health and Safety certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, International Safety Diploma, First Aid, Fire Safety
- Audit ISO Qualifications (ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015) or training in UAE
- Working knowledge of Federal Laws, Dubai Municipality Code of Construction Safety Practice, RTA Circulars, and Work Zone Traffic Management Manual
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to attend physical interviews in UAE
