About the Role
Gulf Center for Geophysical Consulting seeks an experienced Safe Operating Standards (SOS) Specialist to lead development and implementation of safe operating standards, safe work procedures, SOPs, and method statements for civil construction, drilling, and infrastructure projects.

- Develop, author, and maintain Safe Operating Standards (SOS), SOPs, Safe Work Procedures (SWP), and Method Statements.
- Perform task based hazard identification, risk assessments, and define appropriate control measures.
- Prepare Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and support QA/QC documentation.
- Establish and improve quality assurance procedures and management systems.
- Collaborate with engineering, planning, construction, and operations teams to ensure procedures reflect actual work practices.
- Support constructability reviews and identify safety risks during project planning.
- Assist project teams with implementation of safe work procedures on site.
- Participate in toolbox talks, safety briefings, and procedural training.
- Review and update procedures following incidents, audits, or project changes.
- Participate in internal and external quality and safety audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- 8–12 years of experience in construction, engineering, or quality management.
- Strong experience in heavy civil construction, drilling operations, infrastructure projects, or industrial facilities.
- Experience developing Safe Operating Standards, SOPs, Method Statements, or SWMS.
- Sound knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, Risk Assessment, and Job Safety Analysis (JSA/JHA).
- Experience with QA/QC systems, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and Non Conformance Reports (NCRs).
- Excellent technical writing and document control skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
- NEBOSH, Occupational Health & Safety, or QA/QC certifications are highly desirable.

Role Overview
- We are seeking an experienced Safe Operating Standards (SOS) Specialist to support our Engineering & Field Operations team in Riyadh.
- The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of Safe Operating Standards (SOS), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Method Statements for civil construction, drilling, infrastructure, and engineering projects.
- The role requires close collaboration with engineering, construction, operations, and quality teams to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient project execution.
