Role Overview

  • The Room Attendant ensures cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance of guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and assigned public areas.
  • The role is critical in delivering exceptional guest experiences by maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

Guest Room Cleaning and Presentation

  • Collect room keys, daily assignments, and information from Housekeeping Supervisor.
  • Prepare and organize housekeeping trolley with supplies, linen, and equipment.
  • Clean, service, and maintain guest rooms per hotel SOPs and brand standards.
  • Replenish guest room amenities, supplies, linen, and minibar items.
  • Ensure rooms are cleaned and presented to highest standards.

Bathroom Cleaning and Maintenance

  • Thoroughly clean, sanitize, and maintain guest bathrooms per hygiene standards.
  • Replenish bathroom amenities, towels, and consumables.
  • Ensure bathroom fixtures and surfaces are clean and functional.

Guest Service Excellence

  • Handle guest belongings with care, respect, and discretion.
  • Arrange guest items appropriately while maintaining privacy.
  • Promptly report lost and found items.
  • Coordinate with Valet/Laundry Services for guest laundry requests.
  • Respond courteously to guest requests and inquiries.

Housekeeping Operations

  • Maintain cleanliness of guest corridors, service pantries, and storage areas.
  • Ensure equipment and supplies are used correctly and stored safely.
  • Report maintenance defects and safety hazards promptly.
  • Support departmental productivity targets.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Responsibilities

  • Follow all health, safety, hygiene, and security procedures.
  • Operate equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely.
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions or hazards.
  • Contribute to sustainability initiatives by minimizing waste and conserving resources.

Quality and Brand Standards

  • Adhere to hotel brand standards and quality assurance requirements.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
  • Contribute to guest satisfaction scores and hotel reputation.
