The Room Attendant maintains cleanliness and orderliness in guest rooms and hotel areas.
The role supports a pleasant guest stay by meeting cleanliness standards and following health and safety guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas.
- Make beds and replace linens, towels, and other amenities.
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
- Replenish toiletries, towels, minibar items, and other guest room supplies.
- Keep cleaning equipment and supplies stocked and maintained.
- Report damage, broken equipment, and unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
- Check room appliances, lighting, and electronics.
- Provide courteous service and respond promptly to guest requests or concerns.
- Follow security and confidentiality policies for guest information.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision is required.
- Strong attention to detail is required.
- Physical stamina for lifting, bending, and long periods of standing is required.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude are required.
