Job Summary

Guest Room Cleaning and Presentation

• Collect daily room assignments, keys, work instructions, and operational information from the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Review assigned room statuses and priorities, including occupied, vacant, check-out, stayover, and Do Not Disturb rooms.
• Prepare the housekeeping trolley with linen, amenities, cleaning supplies, equipment, and guest supplies.
• Clean and service assigned guest rooms according to hotel SOPs, brand standards, and productivity requirements.
• Make beds, replace linen, clean and sanitize surfaces, floors, fixtures, furniture, and other designated areas.
• Replenish guest room amenities, stationery, supplies, linen, and other consumables.
• Check minibar items and replenish or report discrepancies where applicable.
• Conduct a final visual check before completing each assignment and report rooms needing additional cleaning or maintenance.
• Perform turndown service where applicable.

Bathroom Cleaning and Hygiene

• Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest bathrooms according to hotel hygiene standards and SOPs.
• Clean and disinfect toilets, showers, bathtubs, washbasins, countertops, mirrors, floors, fixtures, and fittings.
• Replenish towels, bathroom amenities, toiletries, tissue, and other consumables.
• Report leaking taps, blocked drains, damaged fixtures, faulty lighting, plumbing issues, and other maintenance concerns.
• Maintain hygiene and cross-contamination prevention practices throughout the cleaning process.

Guest Privacy, Security and Belongings

• Respect guest privacy, personal belongings, confidentiality, and security at all times.
• Follow approved procedures for entering occupied rooms, including knocking, announcing presence, and observing Do Not Disturb requirements.
• Handle guest belongings carefully and report suspicious activity, security concerns, and unusual conditions.
• Report all lost-and-found items immediately and never remove, use, consume, or retain guest property.

Role Requirements

• Demonstrate attention to detail and efficient work practices.
• Follow hotel SOPs, brand standards, room-cleaning procedures, hygiene requirements, and safety practices.
• Respect guest privacy, confidentiality, belongings, and security procedures.
• Identify and promptly communicate maintenance defects, guest requests, lost property, and other concerns.

Work Environment

• The role is based in a hotel and involves physical, in-person housekeeping work.
