Role Overview
Arxlight is seeking a talented multi-disciplinary Robotics Hardware Engineer to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and improving systems and components.
We expect a high level of multi-disciplinary knowledge across mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and computer science.
You’ll take ownership of executing of entire projects and collaborate closely with functional teams to deliver high-quality, reliable, and cost-effective engineering solutions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- BS, MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics engineering, or Software Engineering, or related field
- Experience in an immersive technical project (collegiate project teams or professional settings)
- Experience in developing complex eletro-mechanical systems, such as robots, UAVs, wearables, high power, electric propulsion, etc
- Ability to read, interpret, and manipulate block diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts.
- Strong command of engineering first principles
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Multiple degrees or minors in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics engineering, or Software Engineering, or related field
- Experience in Mechanical CAD (Solidworks, NX, Fusion 360, etc)
- Experience in Electrical CAD (Altium, KiCad, etc)
- Hands-on prototyping experience (3D printing, machining, soldering, board assembly, harnessing)
- Strong organizational skills
- Familiarity with microcontrollers, power conversion and system integration
- Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with designing for rugged environments
- Experience in characterizing circuits at both schematic and board level
- Familiarity with wireless communication protocols
- Experience with microcontroller wired communication protocols (USB, MIPI CSI2, SPI, I2C, CAN, CANFD, UART/RS232/RS422/RS485)
- Experience with motor and servo drive (BLDC/Brushed motor controller design, servo control systems)
- Practical experience with electrical engineering tools (Oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, multimeters)
