The Role

Key Responsibilities

• Support matter inception and new client or matter onboarding in line with regulatory standards and firm policy.
• Conduct client due diligence, review KYC documentation, and perform AML and sanctions searches.
• Escalate issues to the MLRO and monitor client and matter changes for risk.
• Assist with engagement terms, client-imposed terms, and accurate matter information.
• Review and update firm policies to reflect regulatory requirements.
• Support weekly and monthly compliance status reporting.
• Maintain information barriers and insider lists.
• Deliver internal training and contribute to research and process improvement.
• Support annual internal file audits and collaborate with Revenue & Collections, Marketing, and Conflicts teams.
• Respond to ad hoc requests from the business.

What the Firm Is Looking For

• At least six months of compliance experience within a regulated organization.
• Law degree or GDL qualification with some legal work experience.
• AML experience and strong understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks.
• Ability to identify conflicts and risk within a law firm; training may be provided if needed.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information professionally.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects independently and within a global team.
• High proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
