Role Description
The Restaurant General Manager is a full-time, on-site role responsible for all aspects of daily restaurant operations.
The role covers staff scheduling, service standards, food quality, cleanliness, safety, financial performance, inventory, and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Manage scheduling, service standards, food quality, cleanliness, and safety.
- Track financial performance, control costs, manage inventory, and implement budget plans.
- Lead hiring, training, performance management, and team development.
- Coordinate with senior management on marketing, operational improvements, policies, and regulations.
Qualifications
- Strong financial and operational management skills, including P&L management and budgeting.
- Experience with guest experience, customer service, and customer satisfaction.
- Team leadership, hiring, and staff development experience.
- Previous restaurant or hospitality management experience, ideally in a high-volume environment.
- Ability to analyze performance metrics, improve processes, and manage change.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in a diverse, multicultural environment.
- Understanding of food safety, health and safety regulations, and compliance standards.
- A relevant hospitality or business diploma or degree is preferred.
