Role Overview
Sofra Services is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Restaurant Finance Manager and General Manager.
The role oversees financial performance and day-to-day management of the company's restaurant brands.
This is a senior, hands-on position focused on accounting, cost control, operations, people management, margins, and customer experience.
Finance and Commercial Management
- Manage financial performance across all restaurant brands and outlets.
- Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, P&L statements, cash flow, and management reports.
- Monitor sales, expenses, gross profit, net profitability, food cost, labor cost, operating expenses, and wastage.
- Analyze menu profitability, margins, pricing, product mix, purchasing, supplier pricing, and payment terms.
- Oversee inventory controls, stock counts, variances, transfers, and wastage.
- Establish financial controls and work with accounting on reporting, reconciliation, and compliance.
- Provide ownership with KPI reports and profitability recommendations.
Restaurant General Management
- Oversee daily operations and performance across the restaurant brands.
- Manage restaurant managers, supervisors, kitchen teams, and support functions.
- Establish and enforce operating procedures, controls, and accountability across outlets.
- Monitor food quality, service standards, cleanliness, customer satisfaction, and brand standards.
- Review staffing levels, scheduling, productivity, and labor efficiency.
- Work with chefs and purchasing teams on portion control, recipe costing, yields, and waste reduction.
- Handle operational weaknesses and customer complaints professionally and promptly.
- Support menu launches, promotions, delivery operations, and new outlet openings.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Strong experience in restaurant finance, F&B operations, restaurant management, or hospitality management.
- Previous experience managing restaurant P&Ls and operational budgets.
- Strong understanding of food costing, inventory management, purchasing, payroll, and restaurant KPIs.
- Ability to translate financial analysis into operational action.
- Strong leadership and team-management skills.
- Comfort working directly in restaurant operations rather than solely from an office.
- Strong Excel, reporting, and financial-analysis skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with restaurant POS, inventory, and accounting systems is preferred.
- Arabic and English communication skills are preferred.
Performance Areas
Accountability includes revenue and sales growth, restaurant profitability, food-cost percentage, labor-cost percentage, gross profit, and operating margins.
Accountability also includes inventory accuracy, stock variance, waste and loss reduction, staff productivity, customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and compliance.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate can identify financial losses in a P&L, investigate their operational causes, and work with the team to resolve them.
The candidate should be hands-on, disciplined, analytical, commercially focused, results-driven, and able to own the performance of multiple restaurant concepts.
