About the Role

  • We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Restaurant General Manager to lead the overall performance of a high profile restaurant operation.
  • The role is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving financial performance, developing high performing teams, and ensuring operational excellence.
  • The successful candidate will also act as the primary point of contact for brand owners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day to day operations of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional service, quality, cleanliness, and operational efficiency.
  • Deliver business performance against financial targets, KPIs, and guest satisfaction measures.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Build strong relationships with guests, creating memorable dining experiences.
  • Handle guest feedback and service recovery professionally and promptly.
  • Develop and maintain a productive relationship with brand owners, acting as the operational ambassador.
  • Ensure brand standards, values, and operating procedures are consistently executed.
  • Take full ownership of revenue, profitability, labour costs, and controllable expenses.
  • Analyse business performance and implement action plans to maximise sales and improve profitability.
  • Recruit, coach, develop, and retain a high performing restaurant team.
  • Drive revenue through local marketing initiatives, promotions, and business development activities.
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, health & safety, and regulatory requirements.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in restaurant or hospitality management, including at least 2 years in a General Manager role.
  • Proven track record of managing high volume restaurant operations.
  • Experience managing P&L performance and delivering commercial results.
  • Experience working with franchise partners or brand owners is highly desirable.
  • Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and people development skills.
  • Commercially minded with excellent financial acumen.
  • Outstanding guest service and relationship management abilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and restaurant management/POS systems.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
