About the Role

Responsibilities
- Supervise all mechanical construction activities related to District Cooling Plants, Sewage Treatment Plants, pumping stations, utility networks, and associated infrastructure.
- Review and provide technical comments on shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, inspection and test plans, technical queries, and requests for information.
- Oversee and witness all testing, pre commissioning, commissioning, and startup activities for mechanical systems and equipment.
- Ensure that all mechanical works meet quality standards and comply with approved quality management procedures.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure full compliance with project health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, utility providers, government agencies, and regulatory authorities.
- Support project contract administration activities including reviewing contractor progress, evaluating variation orders, and assessing claims.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 15 20 years of progressive experience in large scale infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of international standards and construction practices
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- GCC/Middle East Infrastructure Project Experience Preferred

Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical Construction Supervision: Supervise all mechanical construction activities related to District Cooling Plants, Sewage Treatment Plants, pumping stations, utility networks, and associated infrastructure.
- Design Review & Technical Support: Review and provide technical comments on shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, inspection and test plans, technical queries, and requests for information.
- Testing, Commissioning & Startup: Oversee and witness all testing, pre commissioning, commissioning, and startup activities for mechanical systems and equipment.
- Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC): Ensure that all mechanical works meet the highest quality standards and comply with approved quality management procedures.
- Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Actively promote a strong safety culture and ensure full compliance with project health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Stakeholder & Authority Coordination: Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, utility providers, government agencies, and regulatory authorities.
- Contract Administration: Support project contract administration activities by reviewing contractor progress, evaluating variation orders, assessing claims, verifying completed work, and providing technical recommendations.
Here's what you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 15 20 years of progressive experience in large scale infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of international standards and construction practices.
