About the Role

Responsibilities
- Implement, monitor, and maintain project quality management systems across all MEP disciplines
- Oversee quality inspections and verification for mechanical systems including HVAC, cooling plants, chillers, pumps, and fire protection
- Ensure quality of electrical installations including MV/LV systems, substations, transformers, switchgear, UPS, generators, and bus duct
- Coordinate and witness inspections, testing, and verification activities throughout construction and commissioning
- Support commissioning, integrated systems testing (IST), operational readiness reviews, and project handover
- Manage punch list, quality verification, turnover documentation, and final acceptance inspections
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum 8–10 years of QA/QC experience
- At least 3–5 years on large scale Data Centre, mission critical, industrial, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, or complex infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of MEP construction methodologies, HVAC, critical power infrastructure, fire protection, testing and commissioning
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and quality management systems

Your Impact
- Jacobs is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer – MEP to support and oversee QA/QC for large scale Data Centre construction projects.
- The role ensures all MEP systems are installed, tested, and commissioned in compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Works closely with construction teams, subcontractors, consultants, commissioning specialists, and client representatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Assurance Management: Implement, monitor, and maintain project quality management systems across all MEP disciplines.
- Mechanical Systems Quality Control: Oversee inspections for HVAC, cooling plants, chillers, pumps, fuel systems, plumbing, drainage, ventilation, and fire protection.
- Electrical Systems Quality Control: Ensure quality of electrical installations including MV/LV systems, substations, transformers, switchgear, UPS, generators, bus duct, grounding, lighting, and battery systems.
- Data Centre MEP Quality Oversight: Ensure all MEP systems supporting Data Centre operations are installed and tested to the highest standards.
- Inspection and Testing Management: Coordinate and witness inspections, testing, and verification activities throughout construction and commissioning.
- Commissioning and Handover Support: Support commissioning, IST, operational readiness reviews, and project handover activities.
Qualifications And Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 8–10 years of QA/QC experience, including at least 3–5 years on large scale Data Centre, mission critical, industrial, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, or complex infrastructure projects.
- Experience supporting MEP installation, testing, commissioning, and quality management within fast track construction environments is highly desirable.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of MEP construction methodologies, HVAC systems, chilled water systems, critical power infrastructure, fire protection systems, testing and commissioning processes.
- Familiarity with quality management systems, inspection and test plans (ITPs), NCR management, and root cause analysis.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards, commissioning procedures, mission critical facility requirements, and project quality documentation systems.
