Reporting to the Manager, Residence Life Services, the Residence Manager lives in the Residence and is responsible for a safe, healthy, and positive living environment for residence students that promotes student learning and personal success.
The incumbent is responsible for the day-to-day co-ordination, supervision and administration of residence life programs, activities, student accommodation and facility-related issues in an assigned residence area accommodating up to 950 students.
The incumbent is one of six full-time live-in staff who will work co-operatively and collaboratively with other staff of the Department and University to develop and maintain appropriate community living standards.
The incumbent provides leadership in promoting an environment that supports academic achievement, student development and fosters responsible decision making.
