Job Description
- The Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Department at UAE University is seeking a Research Associate to carry out calculations for an ESG/CSR impact index and its associated model, including Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions and broader environmental impacts.
- The candidate should be skilled in quantitative and computational modeling, data analysis, and sustainability metrics.
- Preferred candidate will hold a PhD in an Engineering field with demonstrated experience in mathematical modeling, handling large datasets, and translating complex data into robust indicators.
Minimum Qualification
- PhD in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field
- Strong quantitative and computational modeling skills
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical methods
- Experience computing Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions and assessing environmental impacts
- Good technical writing skills
- Flexible approach and initiative in executing the role
- Experience in building analytical dashboards
Preferred Qualification
- Familiarity with ESG/CSR frameworks and sustainability indicators
- Experience with life cycle assessment (LCA) or process modeling
- Command of analytical tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB, R)
