- Good written and verbal communication skills

Job Description
- The Department of Genetics and Genomics, College of Medicine and Health Sciences at the United Arab Emirates University invites applications for a full time Research Assistant position in the area of rare disease genomics, research data systems, and bioinformatics support.
- The successful candidate will contribute to a multidisciplinary computational research environment.
Minimum Qualification
- Master's degree in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Data Science, Biomedical Informatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, or a related field.
- Experience in genomic or biomedical data handling and structured data management.
- Practical experience with Python and database concepts such as SQL.
- Familiarity with next generation sequencing workflows and genomic analysis processes, including quality control, alignment, variant calling, annotation, and interpretation support.
Preferred Qualification
- Experience in rare disease genomics, Mendelian genomics, translational genomics, or biomedical research data systems.
- Experience supporting internal research platforms, web based dashboards, workflow tracking systems, or database backed scientific applications.
- Familiarity with AI assisted tools for scientific data processing, summarization, and reporting.
Expected Skills
