Job Description

  • The Research Assistant/Associate (0.5 FTE) will support the implementation of a grant funded research project examining Emirati fathers' roles and experiences in autism care pathways.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating participant recruitment
  • Conducting and supporting qualitative interviews
  • Managing project documentation
  • Overseeing transcription and translation processes
  • Supporting qualitative data analysis
  • Contributing to the preparation of reports, publications, and dissemination materials
  • Working closely with the Principal Investigator to ensure timely delivery of project milestones
  • Maintaining relationships with community and institutional partners
  • Supporting ethics and data management requirements

Minimum Qualification

  • Master's degree in Psychology, Public Health, Social Sciences, Disability Studies, or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualification

  • PhD in Psychology, Public Health, Social Sciences, Disability Studies, or a related discipline. Candidates holding a Master's degree with substantial relevant research experience are also encouraged to apply.

Expected Skills

  • Experience supporting academic or applied research projects.
  • Knowledge of qualitative research methods, including interviews and thematic analysis.
  • Experience with participant recruitment and research administration.
  • Ability to manage multiple project activities and deadlines independently.
  • Experience using qualitative analysis software (e.g., NVivo).
  • Strong academic writing and communication skills.
  • Experience contributing to reports, conference presentations, and/or peer reviewed publications.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders and community partners.
  • Experience supporting the delivery of grant funded research projects is desirable.
  • Arabic language skills are desirable but not essential.

Salary Range

  • AED 80,000–90,000 per annum
