Job Description

  • The Big Data Analytics Center (BIDAC) is established to conduct quality big data research, training, consultation and to provide unified big data platform services within the UAE and internationally.
  • BIDAC is currently in need of Data Science researchers (Postdocs). The ideal candidate is expected to possess an excellent research record in the field of big data analytics, data science or machine learning.
  • He/she must have excellent analytical decision making communication skills, ability to blend business objectives with technology, and the ability to think out of the box solutions for complex problems.

Minimum Qualification

  • PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field from a recognized university.

Preferred Qualification

  • Published articles in leading journals and conferences.
  • Knowledge of working on Big Data platforms and developing advanced machine learning models (e.g. deep learning, NLP, Computer Vision) and analytics solutions.
  • Programming experience particularly in Python
  • Proven experience in related technology such as cloud computing, distributed systems, Hadoop, Spark, MapReduce, etc.
  • Experience in ML model deployment.
  • Experience in writing fund proposals.
  • Experience in filing Patents.
