Job Purpose
- Drive growth in merchant acquiring business by expanding and providing merchants with acquiring channels and capabilities.
- Manage key merchant sectors and acquire large to very large merchants while maintaining strong, long-term relationships.
- Promote Value Added Services (VAS) such as DCC, MPOS, Loyalty Programs, and other relevant solutions.
- Liaise with major card payment companies such as VISA, MasterCard, AMEX, etc., on aspects related to the Payment Card Business.
Key Requirements
- Maintain long-term relationships with large merchants through regular communication and personalized support.
- Manage the large merchant onboarding process and ensure a smooth transition and introduction to products and services.
- Identify opportunities to expand and enhance the merchant base.
- Generate new sales through onboarding of new merchants.
- Generate additional business through effective cross-selling.
- Address client issues promptly and effectively by coordinating with relevant internal teams.
- Continuously monitor client satisfaction and gather merchant feedback.
- Maintain strong awareness of competition and market trends and develop strategies accordingly.
- Achieve and improve sales targets through long-term merchant retention.
- Analyze existing strategies and work standards and recommend changes or improvements where appropriate.
- Identify opportunities for expansion through new geographies, channels, and revenue streams.
- Demonstrate knowledge of merchant acquiring products and services.
- Maintain knowledge of UAE banking practices, regulations, and associated risks.
- Demonstrate good knowledge of service standards.
- Possess knowledge of VISA, MasterCard, AMEX, and CUP products.
- Maintain good knowledge of VISA/MasterCard operational and risk regulations.
- Possess strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrate Management Information skills.
- Possess good computer skills
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 7 years of experience in the Payment Card Industry, specifically in Acquiring.
