  • Build and lead a strategically important portfolio serving international VASP and fintech clients.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders across Corporate Banking, Product, Compliance, Risk, and Technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Originate and onboard VASPs, crypto exchanges, fintech companies, payment providers, custodians, and other digital asset businesses.
  • Build a strong pipeline of Mandarin speaking fintech and VASP clients entering or expanding within the UAE.
  • Serve as the primary relationship owner, developing a detailed understanding of each client’s business model, commercial objectives, and banking requirements.
  • Structure and price corporate banking solutions, including operating accounts, payment rails, treasury services, escrow arrangements, and trade finance facilities.
  • Partner with Compliance, AML, Legal, and Risk teams on client onboarding and enhanced due diligence for VASP and higher risk business models.
  • Ensure client relationships are managed in accordance with applicable UAE and international regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with Product teams to communicate market feedback and support the development of new digital asset banking solutions.
  • Monitor portfolio revenue, deposit balances, transaction volumes, service utilisation, and risk indicators.
  • Represent the bank at fintech, blockchain, digital asset, and industry networking events.

The ideal candidate should be/have

  • 7 to 8 years of experience in relationship management, corporate banking, institutional sales, transaction banking, or a related financial services role.
  • At least 3 years covering fintech, payments, cryptocurrency, blockchain, or digital asset clients.
  • Professional proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and fluency in English.
  • Strong understanding of VASP business models, including crypto exchanges, OTC desks, payment processors, custodians, and token issuers.
  • Experience with KYC/AML processes for higher risk client segments, including VASP specific enhanced due diligence.
  • Strong commercial judgement, with the ability to structure and negotiate banking mandates, pricing, and service level arrangements.
  • An established professional network within the fintech, crypto, payments, or digital asset ecosystem.
  • Self driven, entrepreneurial, and comfortable building a client portfolio in a fast evolving market.
