- Current license to practice medicine in the place of residence
- Fluent in verbal and written English
- Facility to speak Arabic

Job Summary
- Senior Registrar is responsible for providing the care of his/her patients maintaining a high level of professional performance in accordance with evidenced based medicine, professional medical ethics, JCIA standards, hospital medical by laws, and laws of Ministry of Health in Kingdom of Saudi Arabi
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures through his actions that a superior quality of medical treatment, compassion and understanding is given to every patient.
- Performs history taking, physical examinations, interpretation of common diagnostic tests and document patient condition on admission.
- Admits patients from the hospital facilities (E.R., OPD) on his own or as determined by HOD.
- Evaluates new admission and coordinates a plan of investigation to establish a diagnosis and a management course.
- Conducts daily ward rounds to all inpatients in the department.
- Documents plan of patient management and maintains appropriate records.
- Seeks the advice of the Consultant whenever the condition of a patient merits further expertise.
- Prepares all discharge summaries, death reports and special reports.
- Presents new admissions to the department through the daily morning reports.
- Participates actively in the on call rota of the department for patient care and admissions.
- Participates in the delivery of medical care in outpatient services.
- Assists Senior staff in performing diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
Qualifications
- Education: Arab Board or American Board, or Canadian Fellowship, or MRCP, or Equivalent.
- Registration as Senior Registrar with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
- Experience: At least three (3) years in his/her specialty after qualification.
- Current license to practice medicine in the place of residence.
- Desirable: Higher qualifications in his specialty, additional experience in a sub specialty, academic affiliation.
Competencies & Skills
- Fluent in verbal and written English.
- Facility to speak Arabic.
- Exhibits professionalism and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Knowledge of the Medical by laws.
- Knowledge of computer application.
