About the Role
National Medical Care is seeking a Cath Lab Staff Nurse to provide nursing care in a hospital setting in Jeddah. The role involves patient assessment, medication administration, emergency response, and collaboration with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities
- Perform nursing assessment comprehensive data pertinent to patient’s health and situation
- Administer medications, blood & blood products, feedings as ordered by the attending physician
- Initiate and respond effectively in emergency situations and unexpected circumstances in accordance with BLS guidelines
- Assist in unit invasive procedures as needed
- Ensure standard precautions and prevention activities for patients at risk for fall, pressure ulcer, infection
- Document nursing care services provided to patients
- Make regular patient rounds to determine if nursing needs are being met
- Report any significant change in the condition of patients to the Charge Nurse/physician immediately
- Maintain effective and therapeutic communication with healthcare team
- Assist Head Nurse/Charge Nurse in maintaining approved floor stock level of medications, medical equipment and supplies
- Follow established infection control procedures
- Participate in fire safety and disaster preparedness drills
Requirements
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing / Diploma in Nursing
- Valid Certification as Registered Nurse in the Country of Origin
- Valid Certification as Nurse Specialist / Technician in SCFHS
- Valid BLS Provider certification
- Valid ACLS Provider certification
- Minimum two (2) years post graduate clinical experience in a hospital setting (Saudi new graduates exempted)
- Current working knowledge in related specialty
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Ability to speak and understand basic Arabic

Summary
- Responsible for provision of nursing care activities and coordinates care planning with other disciplines, utilizing the nursing process to provide quality nursing care in adherence to policies and procedures of CARE Hospitals, MOH regulations and accreditation standards.
Functional Responsibilities
- Ensures through his actions, either directly or indirectly, that a superior quality of medical treatment, compassion and understanding is given to every patient served.
- Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Ensures Clear understanding of unit specific nursing staffing plan, patient acuity based assignment systems nursing allocation list, unit scope of service and standards of practice.
- Ensures availability to report for duty as scheduled and to accomplish all patients care assignments and delegated work assignments.
- Ensures readiness to float to other units based on the unit’s Cross trained List.
- Receives shift endorsements from outgoing nursing staff and gives endorsement to the incoming shift nursing staff.
- Attends the unit general endorsement and patient bedside endorsement.
- Ensures awareness of the active list of all patient.
- Receives patient assignments and unit work assignment as delegated.
- Follows the Nursing Standards of Practice and Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
- Performs nursing assessment comprehensive data pertinent to patient’s health and situation.
- Involves the patient and family in the care management.
Minimum Job Qualifications
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing / Diploma in Nursing.
- Valid Certification as Registered Nurse in the Country of Origin.
- Valid Certification as Nurse Specialist / Technician in SCFHS.
- Valid BLS Provider certification is a must for all nursing staff.
- Valid ACLS Provider certification is a must for Cath Lab nursing staff.
- Minimum two (2) years post graduate clinical experience in a hospital setting (Saudi new graduates exempted).
- Current working knowledge in related specialty.
- Demonstrates safe & correct use of specific unit based equipment.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Be able to speak and understand basic Arabic Language.
- Ability to work in multi cultural environment.
- Exhibits professionalism and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
