Role Overview
Join the founding team of Harrow International School Abu Dhabi as a detail-oriented School Registrar.
Work within the Admissions Team on student registration, enrolment, graduation, and regulatory compliance.
Job Purpose
- Manage government documentation and student information to maintain compliance.
- Build professional relationships with regulatory bodies in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
- Support the HR Officer with staff regulatory requirements when needed.
- Assist the Admissions Manager with admissions tasks when regulatory work is completed.
Key Accountabilities
- Liaise with KHDA and ADEK to register new students and request transfer documents.
- Register Arabic A and B students and manage student data, documents, class lists, and Emirates ID information.
- Transfer students to other Abu Dhabi schools and obtain leaving certificates for students leaving the UAE.
- Manage grade movements, Arabic A and B arrangements, and exemption monitoring.
- Create and update document checklists for administrative, local, international, principal, and nurse positions.
- Support HR immigration and ADEK duties, including tasks requiring Arabic reading, speaking, and writing.
- Complete annual enrolment, registration, and contract-signing processes within agreed timelines.
- Support admissions enquiries, offers, tours, assessments, walk-in families, and customer service.
Person Specification
- Bachelor’s degree in a related area or industry-related qualifications.
- Arabic and English bilingual ability.
- Experience working in or with government offices, with emphasis on compliance.
- Understanding of education in Dubai or Abu Dhabi and bodies including the Ministry of Education, KHDA/ADEK, and DHA.
Competencies and Attributes
- Internationally minded with understanding of Dubai and Abu Dhabi regulatory bodies.
- Strong communication skills and ability to understand complex processes and procedures.
- Ability to build relationships and work closely as part of the Admissions Team.
- Solid time management, multitasking, organization, and efficiency.
Safeguarding Screening
- Successful applicants must complete enhanced child protection screening and relevant background checks before starting.
- Checks may include references, qualification verification, identification, and domestic or overseas police checks.
