Role Overview
The Registrar administers academy admissions for pupils of all ages and supports the flow from enquiry through application, interview, registration, and year-group placement.
The role requires a whole-school approach and awareness of the academic and pastoral experience offered to pupils.
Responsibilities
- Administer admissions processes efficiently and with due regard to legal process.
- Maintain a consistent year-round turnaround of expressions of interest, applications, and interviews.
- Plan, prepare, and execute Open Mornings, exhibitions, Guest Days, and other admissions-related public events.
- Provide regular boarding and day application updates to the Senior Management Team.
- Attend whole-school events and understand their relationship to termly activities and the pupil experience.
- Monitor enquiries, parent visits, registrations, and pupil movement between year groups.
Preferred Knowledge
- A sound understanding of boarding, overseas recruitment, special educational needs, and a broad-ability-level curriculum is advantageous.
