We currently have ongoing hours available in our Medical Ward for suitably qualified Nurses. Experience or post graduate qualifications in Critical Care would be highly regarded however not necessary. We offer a friendly, team focused work environment, comprehensive orientation to the department and organisation, in house salary packaging and free car parking. We have a learning culture that encourages ongoing education and offer generous study leave, support and assistance from our Ward based Educators.
Current registration with AHPRA
Excellent organisational skills.
Well-developed communication, interpersonal, negotiation and problem solving skills.
Commitment to oversee the processes required for a quality service with a patient centred focus.
Flexibility and the ability to work all shifts
A commitment to a team approach to care delivery.
Police Check and current working with Children Check (can be organised through WGHG)
Recent critical care experience (HDU, CCU, ICU or ED)
Recent experience in a Medical Unit
Interest in palliative care
IMPORTANT: Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.
