- Record patients’ medical information and vital signs

- Cannulate accesses
- Clean and dress permanent and temporary catheters
- Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients and interpret and record information
- Identify irregular dialysis reactions and notify appropriate medical team members
- Secure blood works
- Teach patients and significant others how to manage their illness
- Maintain medical inventory
- Provide pre and post procedure care to patients
- Conduct home visit assessment for home hemodialysis admission
Requirements
- Experience in dialysis nursing
- Ability to prime dialyzer and bloodlines
- Ability to cannulate accesses
- Knowledge of dialysis treatment procedures
- Ability to monitor and adjust specialized equipment
- Ability to identify irregular dialysis reactions
