Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care programs under indirect supervision of senior nursing staff
- Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects
- Assist in surgical procedures and maintain sterile field
- Participate in quality improvement and incident reporting

- Valid UAE nursing license/registration
- Relevant training and competency in OT nursing
- Knowledge of UAE Code of Conduct and Scope of Practice
- Ability to work within limits of own competence

Role Overview

Education and Training
- Ensure relevant training and competency is undertaken
- Maintain up to date mandatory training requirements
- Follow NMC Nurse Competency Matrix / Framework
- Be willing to learn new clinical skills
- Support and supervise pre registration and new nurses
- Participate in teaching, mentorship and preceptorship
- Participate in clinical supervision of student nurses
- Participate in Performance Improvement Plans
- Share knowledge and skill with others
- Ensure skilled, trained and competent before using any medical device
- Involve patients in their own healthcare through education

- Must have insight of own behaviour and in others
- Be responsible for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care
- Comply with UAE Code of Conduct, Scope of Practice and licensure

- Assist with preparation of risk assessments
- Report OSH hazards, incidents, near misses and issues
- Reduce, Reuse, Recycling of waste
- Attend OSH trainings, awareness programs and mock drills
- Participate in OSHMS audits and inspections
