Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the regional Security & Operational Resilience strategy in alignment with global and divisional priorities.
- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the ISO 45001 certified Health & Safety Management System across the region.
- Ensure governance and consistent application of Security, H&S, BCM, Quality, and Environmental standards across all MEA countries.
- Identify, assess, and manage regional risks (people, financial, operational, reputational) and implement mitigation measures.
- Respond to and escalate critical safety concerns, ensuring timely actions.
- Define and deploy the regional security framework, policies, and standards to reduce incidents, claims, and losses.
- Lead and coordinate the regional safety audit program.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, customer requirements, and external regulatory frameworks.
- Develop, implement, and track the annual Regional Safety Plan.
- Ensure accurate, timely reporting and analysis of incident and accident data.
- Establish and maintain a functional safety governance structure.
- Lead implementation and governance of BCM and crisis management.
Requirements
- Significant experience in Security, Health & Safety, Business Continuity, Quality, Environmental Management, law enforcement, intelligence services, or relevant international organizations
- Proven experience in multi country or regional roles, ideally in logistics or complex operational environments
- Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO, BCM, Security) are advantageous
- Stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Analytical and problem solving capabilities
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Project and program management

Job Purpose
- The Regional Head of Security & Operational Resilience – MEA is responsible for leading and implementing the regional strategy for Security, Health & Safety (H&S) & Business Continuity Management (BCM) in alignment with global and divisional objectives.
- The role ensures identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks to minimize exposure to people, operational, financial, and reputational risks, while ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
- The position plays a critical role in strengthening operational resilience, crisis preparedness and response, and maintaining strong relationships with regulatory authorities, law enforcement, and intelligence networks across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the regional Security & Operational Resilience strategy in alignment with global and divisional priorities covering AFR, OFR, IP, CDZ and Road.
- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the ISO 45001 certified Health & Safety Management System (HSMS) across the region.
- Ensure governance and consistent application of Security, Health & Safety, Business Continuity Management (BCM), Quality, and Environmental standards across all MEA countries.
- Identify, assess, and manage regional risks (people, financial, operational, and reputational) and implement effective mitigation measures.
- Respond to and escalate critical safety concerns raised by employees or management, ensuring timely and appropriate actions.
- Define and deploy the regional security framework, policies, and standards to reduce incidents, claims, and losses.
- Lead and coordinate the regional safety audit program, including planning, execution, reporting, and follow up.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, customer requirements, and external regulatory frameworks across the region.
- Develop, implement, and track the annual Regional Safety Plan in alignment with global safety objectives.
- Ensure accurate, timely reporting and analysis of incident and accident data across the region.
- Establish and maintain a functional safety governance structure, including regional and country level safety committees.
- Lead the implementation and governance of Business Continuity Management (BCM) and crisis management, including preparedness, response, and recovery.
Stakeholders
- Internal Stakeholders: Regional CEO and MEA Leadership Team, Global Security & Resilience Function, Operations, Country and Station Managers, HR, Legal, Risk & Compliance Functions.
- External Stakeholders: Customers and key accounts, Regulatory authorities (TAPA, aviation, maritime, HSE bodies), Law enforcement and intelligence agencies, Carriers, 3PL providers, subcontractors, Industry and certification bodies.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Professional Competencies: Advanced risk management and mitigation expertise, Strong understanding of security, H&S, BCM, and regulatory frameworks, Crisis management and incident response leadership, Knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations (preferred).
- Leadership Competencies: Ability to lead in a matrix organization and influence without authority, Strategic thinking with strong execution orientation, Strong decision making capabilities under uncertainty, Ability to drive change and grow culture across diverse geographies.
