Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the external financial reporting for locations within the Region to ensure compliance with Accounting Standards and local Tax regulations.
  • Ensure accuracy and provide governance over the internal financial reporting of the region and associated systems. This includes monthly and year-end reporting, interim reporting, processes and systems, budget and forecasts etc.
  • Responsible for setting, managing and administrating the financial governance model for the Region, incorporating financial control and compliance, financial reporting and Business Systems
  • Support the Regional finance team in building robust people capability and providing appropriate succession planning and development opportunities for the function such as mentoring and training.
  • Accountability for, and ownership of, the regional input to the annual budget process, including responsibility for consolidation and rigorous challenge of the numbers in advance of reporting to BU F&A Presidents
  • Ownership of the regional input to major forecasting process and regular rolling forecast submissions
  • Support Group Financial Controller in shaping execution plans, priorities and policies that will enhance business performance and results.
  • Key point of contact for the Group Tax and Treasury team in terms of ad-hoc issues and queries, and provision of information to support these terms
  • Support the BU F&A Presidents on ad hoc projects such as acquisition reviews, divestments and troubleshooting as required.
  • Oversight of system related projects, and lead/drive the support teams associated with the finance functional aspects of our Global ERPs.
  • Provide visibility and analysis of regional costs with regular reporting to regional management, alongside seeking/identifying opportunities to improve performance with ownership of future cost, cash or profit improvement initiatives to improve business performance across the region from a BU agnostic viewpoint.

  • Degree qualified
  • Further professional finance body related qualification
  • Knowledge, skills and experience:
  • Senior finance leadership experience within a complex, business‑focused environment
  • Demonstrated leadership in safety and wellbeing
  • Proven experience leading teams across multiple geographies
  • Strong influencing skills and the ability to shape outcomes
  • Sound knowledge of finance practices, relevant legislative frameworks and how the business creates value
  • Evidence of strong technical competence and current knowledge of IFRS accounting standards
  • Demonstrated capability in corporate governance and effective decision making
  • Awareness of external factors and their influence on regional strategy and performance
  • Track record of delivering challenging performance targets, annual budgets and long‑term forecasts
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
  • Ability to develop and implement innovative, long‑term solutions
