Regional EHS Responsibilities
- Conduct onsite inspections and internal audits throughout British Columbia to evaluate safe work practices and legislative compliance.
- Support external audits, incident investigations, corrective action planning, safety communications, provincial campaigns, and National Safety Code compliance.
- Maintain regional EHS records, statistics, and trend reporting.
Training and Evaluations
- Deliver safety training and new employee orientations at various sites.
- Provide hands-on instruction for commercial truck and heavy equipment operators, including safe operating training, ride-alongs, and practical competency evaluations.
- Coach workers and support ongoing operating-procedure compliance.
Regional Support
- Collaborate with regional teams and act as a liaison between the Regional EHS team and operations across British Columbia.
- Provide guidance on occupational injury management and return-to-work programs with support from the Regional EHS Manager.
- Travel regularly to support locations across British Columbia.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in occupational health and safety is required.
