Role Description

  • The Owner role at Alternatives.pe is a full time, on site position based in Bengaluru.
  • The Owner will be responsible for setting the overall vision and strategy of the company, driving business growth, and overseeing key operational, financial, and product decisions.
  • Daily activities include leading senior team members, prioritizing product roadmap and data quality initiatives, managing investor and partner relationships, and monitoring market trends in VC, PE, and M&A.
  • The role involves making high level decisions on resource allocation, establishing performance goals, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal standards.
  • The Owner will also represent the company publicly and cultivate a culture of accountability, innovation, and data driven decision making.

Qualifications

  • Strong leadership, strategic planning, and organizational management skills, with experience guiding high growth or data driven businesses.
  • Proven background in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or related financial services, with a solid understanding of deal structures and private market dynamics.
  • Ability to interpret complex financial, operational, and market data, and convert insights into actionable strategies and product improvements.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills for working with investors, clients, partners, and internal teams.
  • Track record of building and scaling teams, establishing processes, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Comfort with technology, analytics platforms, and digital product workflows; experience with SaaS or data products is highly beneficial.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field; entrepreneurial or founder experience is a strong advantage.
  • Ability to work on site in Bengaluru and adapt quickly in a fast paced, evolving market environment.
