Responsibilities
- Serve as a key resource for all recreation activities facilitated on the property
- Provide information to guests about available recreational facilities including pool, beach, entertainment/game room, fitness center, and children's activity center
- Motivate, recruit, register, and organize guests to participate in recreational activities
- Foster a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests
- Promote rules and regulations of recreational facilities to maintain guest and member safety
- Observe activity in recreational facility and react appropriately according to local operating procedures in case of emergency
- Provide cashier service when working at facilities that include point of sale transactions
- Assist with private group functions and events at recreational facilities
- Be alert for situations where participating in an activity is not safe for guests and inform supervisor/manager
- Provide assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive
- Clean and maintain recreational facilities, equipment, and supplies
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- No prior related work experience required
- CPR certification
- First aid certification
- Recreation and physical fitness equipment certification as required by local agencies
