Recovery Support Worker

Degree or Diploma in Social Work or Addiction Services, or a directly related degree in human services

Minimum 3 years’ experience working with individuals affected by gender-based violence, mental health, addictions, homelessness or housing instability and poverty

Specialized training in intervention models such as harm reduction and relapse prevention

Comfortable working directly with clients who may be in crisis or under the influence; able to maintain calm, professional and compassionate communication

Ability to administer Naloxone or other life-saving measures in case of an overdose or medical emergency

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, data systems and reporting tools

Required certifications upon hire: Brain Story Certification, Naloxone Administration, First Aid & CPR Level C and ASIST
